MIT OpenCourseWare is honored to start a collaboration with a community of US-based Traditionally Black Faculties and Universities (HBCUs) who’re adopting and adapting OER to enhance the academic alternatives of their college students. For a number of years, the HBCU Reasonably priced Studying Options (AL$) initiative which is a collaboration with the OER repository MERLOT, has been constructing HBCU college capability to make use of OER, delivering instant advantages to college students by saving them hundreds of {dollars} in textbook prices, bettering course outcomes and decreasing monetary stress.
MIT OpenCourseWare and MIT college will work along with HBCU college and employees to increase the Cultural Collections throughout the AL$ portal by figuring out and curating applicable OER materials, and adapting and lengthening supplies from OCW to be extra culturally related for HBCU college students.
